The National Armed Forces are trusted by 42.4 percent of population, placing them in the third place among state authorities and social organisations, indicated results of the annual survey ordered by the newspaper ‘’Neatkarīgā Rīta Avīze’’.
Comparing with results of 2013 – third place with 46.4 percent -, the public trust in the National Armed Forces has decreased by four percent, but if the data is analysed in a several-year-perspective, they indicate a predictable stability of the trust rates.
In 2012, 38.5 percent of population trusted the National Armed Forces, placing them in the fourth place immediately behind education institutions, church and radio.
Analysing the public trust in state authorities and social organisations, the survey results conducted by the company SKDS show that last year the highest level of public trust gained education institutions and church, indicates “Neatkarīgā Rīta Avīze’’.
