Latvia plans to buy from the United Kingdom 123 CVR(T)s or Combat Vehicles Reconnaissance (Tracked) for 48.1 million euros.
The Latvian government during the meeting behind closed doors on Tuesday reviewed the draft resolution about signing the agreement with the British government about purchasing the armored vehicles for implementation of the first phase of the project for mechanization of the Infantry Brigade.
The experts of the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces have finalized the purchase agreement regarding the obligations of the United Kingdom concerning the delivery of the armed vehicles.
It is planned that the second-hand CVR(T)s will be delivered to Latvia after their complete overhaul together with the standard equipment, tool sets and spare parts.
